Nemean Solutions is proud to recognize Jared Hawkins, Team Lead for our National Simulation Center Support Contract at Fort Leavenworth, as the recipient of the 2026 Golden Lion Employee of the Year Award.

Tony Fennell, Director of the Nemean’s Program Management Office, presented the Golden Lion Award to Jared at Fort Leavenworth earlier this week with his team present. The Golden Lion Award recognizes the employee whose leadership, performance, initiative, and commitment best represent Nemean’s standard of excellence.

“Jared represents the standard of leadership and performance the Golden Lion Award was created to recognize,” Fennell said. “He combines technical understanding with a genuine commitment to his employees and the mission. His ability to lead a diverse workforce through demanding exercise support, modernization, cybersecurity authorization, systems integration, and significant organizational growth made him the clear choice for this year’s award.”

Throughout the past year, Jared has led the NSC team through significant growth and demanding Army training requirements while maintaining an amazing employee-retention rate and a strong focus on the people behind the mission.

True to that approach, Jared immediately shared the recognition with his team.

“I am humbled by this recognition and honestly did not expect it,” Hawkins said. “I accept it on behalf of the entire NSC team. It takes a village, and I am incredibly proud of what this team accomplishes every day. Our people sacrifice time away from their families and friends to ensure the mission succeeds, and they continually go above and beyond what is asked of them.”

Jared specifically recognized Jason Humphrey and his team at Fort Lee, as well as Kelsey Watson, Stevie Mitchell, Chavis Hall, William Noer, Marie Fongoh, Jalani Burns, and Rachel Salazar for their outstanding contributions over the past year. He also thanked Tony Fennell, Nemean’s HR team, and the entire headquarters staff for their continued support.

Now in its third year, the Golden Lion Award is one of Nemean’s highest forms of employee recognition.
