Nemean Solutions Recognized for Economic Contributions to Kansas and Commitment to Veteran Employment

FORT LEAVENWORTH, Kan. — Nemean Solutions, LLC, together with joint venture partner Trideum Corporation, was presented with a Kansas state flag by the Kansas Department of Commerce in recognition of the companies’ economic contributions and creation of quality jobs in Kansas through multiple contracts supporting Fort Leavenworth.

The recognition also highlighted Nemean’s commitment to hiring veterans and retaining a highly skilled local workforce. Today, Nemean and the Nemean Trideum Joint Venture employ approximately 180 professional jobs in Kansas, more than 70% of whom are military veterans.

The flag was presented to Tony Fennell, Director of the Program Management Office at Nemean Solutions, by Barry Albrecht, Director of Aerospace and Defense for the Kansas Department of Commerce, accompanied by Lisa Hack of the Leavenworth County Development Program. Nemean Site Leads also joined in representing the company’s teams supporting Fort Leavenworth.

Nemean Solutions Names Jared Hawkins 2026 Golden Lion Employee of the Year

Nemean Solutions is proud to recognize Jared Hawkins, Team Lead for our National Simulation Center Support Contract at Fort Leavenworth, as the recipient of the 2026 Golden Lion Employee of the Year Award.

Tony Fennell, Director of the Nemean’s Program Management Office, presented the Golden Lion Award to Jared at Fort Leavenworth earlier this week with his team present.  The Golden Lion Award recognizes the employee whose leadership, performance, initiative, and commitment best represent Nemean’s standard of excellence.

“Jared represents the standard of leadership and performance the Golden Lion Award was created to recognize,” Fennell said. “He combines technical understanding with a genuine commitment to his employees and the mission. His ability to lead a diverse workforce through demanding exercise support, modernization, cybersecurity authorization, systems integration, and significant organizational growth made him the clear choice for this year’s award.”

Throughout the past year, Jared has led the NSC team through significant growth and demanding Army training requirements while maintaining an amazing employee-retention rate and a strong focus on the people behind the mission.

True to that approach, Jared immediately shared the recognition with his team.

“I am humbled by this recognition and honestly did not expect it,” Hawkins said. “I accept it on behalf of the entire NSC team. It takes a village, and I am incredibly proud of what this team accomplishes every day. Our people sacrifice time away from their families and friends to ensure the mission succeeds, and they continually go above and beyond what is asked of them.”

Jared specifically recognized Jason Humphrey and his team at Fort Lee, as well as Kelsey Watson, Stevie Mitchell, Chavis Hall, William Noer, Marie Fongoh, Jalani Burns, and Rachel Salazar for their outstanding contributions over the past year. He also thanked Tony Fennell, Nemean’s HR team, and the entire headquarters staff for their continued support.

Now in its third year, the Golden Lion Award is one of Nemean’s highest forms of employee recognition.

Mr. Antwan Long Commissioned in the U.S. Coast Guard Reserve

Nemean Solutions and the Pride are proud to announce a significant professional achievement from one of our members, Mr. Antwan Long. As reported by Nemean’s Dr. Fougère Gordon, PhD, PMP, Program Manager/Training Policy Analyst:

“Nemean Solutions proudly announces that Mr. Antwan Long has been commissioned as an Ensign (O-1) in the U.S. Coast Guard Reserve. Mr. Long provides onsite contractor support as an HR Administrative & Program Support Officer for the Office of the Chief of Chaplains. He earned his commission through the Coast Guard's highly competitive Selected Reserve Direct Commission pathway. This specialized track selects active-duty military members and civilian professionals with advanced education, active federal security clearances, and rare subject matter expertise to fast-track them into the Coast Guard Reserve as Officers.

To achieve this milestone, Ensign Long graduated from the intensive five-week Reserve Officer Candidate Indoctrination (ROCI) course at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy in New London, Connecticut. The rigorous pipeline instills military customs, maritime law enforcement fundamentals, and advanced leadership skills into incoming technical experts. In his civilian capacity, Ensign Long will remain embedded directly with government personnel to provide seamless administrative and program support to the Office of the Chief of Chaplains. He will balance this onsite career with part-time military service, deploying to support active-duty Coast Guard forces in maritime security, disaster response, and environmental protection. This commission reflects the unwavering dedication, integrity, and professionalism that have consistently earned him praise from senior government officials, marking a significant milestone on his continued path of leadership in both his civilian and military life.”
