SIMON E. ORTIZ

Simon E. Ortiz is a native of Oakley, Idaho. He enlisted into the US Army in 1989. His assignments and occupation specialties included: Ground Surveillance Systems Operator with the 6th ID ABN, Fort Richardson AK, 4th ID, Fort Carson CO, 2nd ID, Camp Essayons Korea, 25th ID, Fort Lewis WA, 25th ID, Schofield Barracks HI where he deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, and as a Military Intelligence Instructor and Senior Drill Sergeant with the 111th MI BDE, and as an All Source Intelligence Analyst with the 1st BDE, 1st Armor Division, Fort Bliss TX where he deployed to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and New Dawn.  Simon Ortiz retired as a Senior Non-Commissioned Officer in 2012.

He has earned the US Army’s Parachutist Badge, Air Assault Badge, Combat Action Badge, Drill Sergeant Badge, and the Order of the Combat Spur.  He has served as an Armor crewmember, Chaparral crewmember, a Cavalry Scout, Ground-Surveillance Systems Operator and an All-Source Intelligence Analyst.

Simon has earned formal military educational certifications throughout his career and served as an Anti-Terrorism Officer and Conventional Physical Security/Crime Prevention Officer.  He graduated Military Intelligence Basic Non-commissioned Officer Course, Advanced Non-commissioned Officer course and the US Army Drill Sergeant School.

After his military career, Simon served five years as a Defense Contractor working at the Intelligence Center of Excellence (ICoE) Experimentation and Analysis Directorate (EAD) as an Intelligence Modeling and Simulations Subject Matter Expert. While there, he moved up through the ranks as a Senior Intelligence SME, Project Manager, Program Manager, and Regional Program Manager responsible for ten Department of Defense contracts with Intelligence, Communications and Engineering Inc.  

Simon has earned a Master’s Degree in Management/Organizational Leadership, a Bachelor’s Degree in Intelligence Studies & Analysis.  He is a member of the Golden Key International Honors Society and an American Military University Ambassador.

CRAIG MOUNT

President, Co-Owner, Co-Founder, Nemean Solutions

Craig Mount is a native of Houston, Texas. He joined the U.S. Army in 2001 following the 9/11 terror attacks, serving as an Intelligence analyst and as a Non-commissioned Officer assigned to 1st Cavalry Division’s reconnaissance squadron, 1-7 CAV. He is a veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom and also served with 6-9 CAV and the Intelligence Electronic Warfare Test Directorate during his career.  He has earned the Combat Action Badge, the Knowlton Award, and the Order of the Combat Spur, and a bunch of other medals and whatnot.  

Craig joined ICE, Inc. in 2009 and served as a Project Manager before becoming the Vice President of Business Operations in 2016.  Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the company, he used his expertise to incorporate best business practices, Organizational Design, and corporate business development strategy.  

Craig has earned Masters’ degrees in Management and Public Administration, and Bachelor of Science degree in Intelligence Operations. He has certifications in Project Management (PMP, Project Management Institute) and Six Sigma (Black Belt).

He served on a number of economic boards and councils in the Sierra Vista and Southern Arizona Community, including the Southeast Arizona Hospitality Association board, the University South Foundation board, the Sierra Vista City Council, and as an Adjunct Professor of Management and Government.

He now resides in San Antonio, TX with his wife Brittney and son Jackson, and two dogs Tank and Zoey.  

Craig serves as the President and Chief Growth Officer for Nemean and routinely speaks are national conferences about the success of Nemean, and his experiences both good and bad within the defense industry.

Craig co-founded Nemean Solutions in 2017, NTSS JV in 2021, and NTSS JV II and Agile Lion in 2024.
