Job Description

Nemean Solutions is seeking a fully qualified Software Quality Control Engineer. Work is located at Idaho National Labs, near lovely Idaho Falls, ID. Work Hours are Monday through Friday, 7am - 5:30 PM (with alternating early release on Friday at the customer's direction).

This position will require the candidate to:

  • Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.

  • Liaise with internal teams (e.g., developers and product managers) to identify user stories.

  • Create, document, and perform test cases from user stories.

  • Work in a testing automation framework, converting manual tests to automated tests.

  • Assist developers in releasing quality software by identifying, recording, and following issues found through testing.

  • Quickly learn new applications and present them to customers.

  • Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.

  • Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products.

Required Skill Set: Must have experience with software quality assurance testing. Must have strong knowledge of software quality assurance methodologies, tools, and processes. Must have experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases. Must have hands-on experience with automated testing tools. Must have experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process. Must have JavaScript experience.

Strongly Desired Skill Set: Experience with Selenium or other acceptance level automation testing. Experience with test case management and reporting. Solid knowledge of SQL and scripting. Experience in Object-Oriented development. Experience with performance and/or security testing.

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Must be a United States Citizen.

  • Must be able to obtain a HSPD-12 (Homeland Security Presidential Directive 12) badge within 6 months of starting position. THIS REQUIRES BEING ABLE TO PASS THE BACKGROUND CHECK FOR THE HSPD-12 BADGE.

  • Must work at the Idaho National Laboratory location (no remote work is allowed under this procurement).

  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree in an IT related field (i.e., Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Information Assurance, Software Engineering) and 3 years of experience – OR – 5 years of experience in a related field.
